Room was a nice size, staff was friendly, and downstairs restaurant was open late enough for us to grab a meal after the conference. Parking lot filled up fast, but the staff working in the garage were all very helpful and friendly. During conference transition times the elevators would fill up fast and were hard to get to on (both up and down) so give yourself extra time to get back and forth if you are attending an event at the conference center.

We had a great staycation at the Marriott Tacoma this weekend. Spacious room and bathroom. Best location for us because we watched a concert at the dome and the hotel had a tram station nearby. We would like to thank the very efficient, accommodating and helpful reception staff, Patricia Verzola. We love staying at the Marriott whenever we travel but our experience in Tacoma was made even better because of her.

I understand there’s been some troubling reviews for this Marriott location so I came in with a pretty fearful expectation but I am glad to say it was overwhelming unnecessary. Right from the start I was really impressed with the entire staff at the front desk. They were all very kind and interested in helping out. They also seemed interested and fun so I could’ve stood there all day and just had a nice chat if time had allowed. Parking is lower cost than most other Marriotts I stay at so that was nice. The parking garage is pretty clear on where you can park but I will admit it is a bit tight… I drive a jeep so it’s not too surprising but even smaller cars seemed to negotiate with some trouble. The members lounge was huge and really nice to relax in with provided snacks and drinks. Not the best assortment or stock that I’ve seen but I always treat it as a bonus so anything is better than nothing, I enjoyed it. The breakfast provided in the members lounge was better than other lounges I’ve been to in Seattle locations. Room was nice and comfortable, very on brand for what I’d expected for Marriott. All and all I was really happy with the stay and would certainly pick it again. There’s always little things that could be enhanced but the staff alone made it easy to ignore them. Hope this helps.

Rooms are very updated, close to Dome and other attractions. The pool and hot tub are outdoors. The pool was WAY too cold but my daughter enjoyed the hot tub. The fitness room is top notch and lots of equipment.

My son and I just stayed a night at this location. Our shower is being remodeled due to a leak and my wonderful landlady booked us here so that we could shower and not be home while they did their work. I want to start with the woman who checked us in, Ivania (I hope I spelled that correctly). She was absolutely warm, welcoming, kind, beyond helpful and beautiful!! I could literally compliment her all day. She went above and beyond to call my landlady personally (per my request) to help us when it came to charging what on to what card. She made our stay so smooth. The room was amazing and clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because you have to pay to park. I understand where they are located downtown there is not much or any street parking but I think anywhere I have to pay $26 for overnight parking is just a little over board for me. Although, my lovely landlady paid for it (not me), I still think its too much. If someone is already paying almost 200 for 1 night, give them a parking pass or permit to park in your garage for free. All in all, great experience. Thank you again Ivania!!!

Here’s a polished Google review you can post: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Tacoma Downtown and wanted to give special thanks to Ivania, the manager. She was always helpful, welcoming, and had a genuine smile every time I saw her. She truly made me feel like a resident rather than just a guest, which says a lot about the level of care and hospitality here. Everything about this hotel was excellent—the room service was prompt and delicious, the bar drinks were well made, and the restaurant food was consistently great. The housekeeping team was always friendly, and the rooms were spotless and well maintained. From top to bottom, the staff made this stay memorable. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again. If you want a shorter or more casual version, I can rewrite it too.

This is probably my favorite hotel in downtown Tacoma. It is conveniently attached to the convention center. Rooms are of good or great quality. The bar and restaurant area has plenty of space to hold a conference for a large company gathering. And it’s also it is also close to some of the tourist things like the auto museum if you have the ability to get away. I would highly recommend this Marriott if you have to go to Tacoma.

This place has mixed reviews, but the truth is that your experience depends on the type of room you choose. The one I had was fantastic! It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. Make sure to check out their M room on the second floor. It offers access to snacks and little bites in the afternoon, as well as coffee, soda, and water all day and night. I stayed there for two weeks and felt like I was at home. The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk away from a coffee shop and restaurants. This made it even more appealing to stay here. However, I must admit that the extra cost of parking is a bit of a downside. I understand that the business needs to be profitable, but it would be great if they could offer parking for free or at a reduced rate. Overall I recommend this place and would stay with them again if I travel to Tacoma!
